Homework
Homework is due in lecture on Wednesdays.
Important: don't do the homework from
the course packet; do the homework posted here instead.
- Due Wednesday, October 4: homework assignment 1 (PDF file)
- Due Wednesday, October 11: homework assignment 2 (PDF
file). Except for the division into parts A and
B, this is identical to the week 2 homework in the
course packet.
- For Wednesday, October 18: No homework due this week.
Practice problems (PDF file):
do not turn in, but do these for
practice before the midterm. This is identical to
the week 3 homework in the course packet.
- Due Wednesday, October 25: homework assignment 4 (PDF
file). Except for the division into parts A and
B, this is identical to the week 4 homework in the
course packet.
- Due Wednesday, November 1: homework assignment 5 (PDF
file). Except for the division into parts A and
B, this is identical to the week 5 homework in the
course packet.
- Due Wednesday, November 8: homework assignment 6 (PDF
file). This is not the same as
the week 6 homework from the course packet: it is missing
all problems on approximation.
- For Wednesday, November 15: No homework due this week.
Practice problems (PDF file):
do not turn in, but do these for
practice before the midterm. This consists of part of the
week 6 homework from the course packet (the problems on
approximation), and part of the week 7 homework (the
improper integrals).
- Due Wednesday, November 22: homework assignment 8 (PDF
file). This is not the same as
the week 8 homework from the course packet. There are
too many differences to list here; just print out this PDF
file and use it instead of the course packet homework.
- Due Wednesday, November 29:
Homework assignment 9 (PDF file).
This is not the same as the week 9 course packet homework:
it is shorter. It is missing problem 3 (the exercises from
Section 9.4), it is missing "worksheet" problems
5 and 6, and there are fewer exercises assigned from
sections 9.1 and 9.3.
- For Wednesday, December 6: No homework due this week.
