Quizzes are designed to give you feedback before the higher-stakes midterm and final. Each quiz will have one or two questions and will take up only part of the class period.
Quiz note: The quizzes are for your benefit (Really! They are no fun to grade.) We tried 444 without quizzes last fall and the results were not good-- lower test grades and stressed students. The same students were much happier with frequent quizzes in Math 445 last winter. If you feel you do not want or need quizzes, just let us know. Arrangements can be made.
