Class: Solution of problems by inversion.

  • Construct necklaces of tangent circles tangent to two concentric circles. Some close up and others do not. Use inversion to see that this is still true for necklaces of tangent circles tangent to any two non-intersecting circles.
  • Solve problem of Apollonius using inversion
  • Review of how to invert two non-intersecting circles into concentric circles.
