Algebraic Number Theory

Office Hours: Thurs. 3:30 - 4:00pm at tea or by appointment

Course Outline: We will roughly follow Osserman's notes, with some supplementary material taken from Lang's Algebraic Number Theory, Neukirch's Algebraic Number Theory, and Stein's Algebraic Number Theory. I plan to cover Chapters 1 through 4 (of Osserman's notes) as well as Chapter 5 and Chapter 8 as time permits.

Homework: Homework will be due every two weeks on Mondays in class. It will be graded based on completeness. If you have typed your homework, you may email it to me instead of handing it in during class.
