Caelan Ritter
My name is Caelan Ritter, and I am entering the Department of Mathematics at Vanderbilt University this fall as a Postdoctoral Scholar. I received my Ph.D. in 2026 at the University of Washington under Farbod Shokrieh. I am interested broadly in algebraic and tropical geometry, with a focus on the intersection theory of tropical abelian varieties.
For the moment, you can reach me by email at critter1@uw.edu; I have an OpenPGP key.
Research
- The Ceresa period from tropical homology.
- Prym–Brill–Noether loci of special curves (with Steven Creech, Yoav Len, and Derek Wu).
