James Cameron

James is currently a graduate student at UW. He became insterested in math in high school because of physics, but by the time he started college he realized that studying math for its own sake was more fun. In undergraduate school he spent some time studying the mathematics of knots, which he still enjoys talking about. His current research is in algebraic topology, and he has taught and TAed at UW for the past 5 years. When not doing math, James enjoys flyfishing, backpacking, and a good novel.
