Preparing for the Final
The final is closed book. You may bring a TI-30X IIS calculator and one handwritten 8.5-by-11-inch sheet of notes; writing is allowed on both sides. No other electronic devices may be used during the exam, and you may not bring additional paper, including scratch paper. Please bring your UW Student ID. If you have recently misplaced your UW ID, bring another form of photo identification, such as a driver's license, state ID, or passport.
Disability Testing Accommodations
Students with approved testing accommodations through Disability Resources for Students (DRS) should schedule their Math 126 final through the DRS testing system for Saturday, December 12. The Math Department provides a reduced-distraction testing environment for students with approved accommodations, typically beginning at 1:30 p.m. on the same day, so students can receive their extended testing time without the exam continuing late into the evening. Students who finish before 5:00 p.m. will need to remain in the testing area until the regular Math 126 final begins at 5:00 p.m., so please bring something non-course-related to read or do while you wait. If the DRS system does not allow you to schedule the Saturday exam, please contact the DRS Testing Center by email at drstest@uw.edu.
Religious Accommodations
Students who require a religious accommodation must use the University's religious-accommodation process. Requests are due within the first two weeks of the quarter. See the UW Religious Accommodations Policy and the Religious Accommodation Request Form.
Unable to Take the Saturday Final?
Petitions to take the make-up final are sometimes granted for reasons of health or extraordinary circumstances of grave personal importance. Approval is not automatic. Plans for sporting events, travel, or work on exam day do not constitute extraordinary circumstances.

There are no alternative make-up exam times.
Math 126 Final Exam Make-Up PetitionConflicts with Other Exams
Math common finals take precedence on Saturday and are protected exam times. If another course schedules a final exam at the same time as the Math 126 common final, it is the responsibility of the other instructor or department to arrange an alternative exam time.
