StARTS is a graduate student learning seminar for discussing representation theory, noncommutative algebra, and applications.
Seminar goals:
- Advance the understanding of topics, from representation theory and noncommutative algebra, within our diverse student body in the Department of Mathematics
at the University of Washington.
- Illuminate the vast connections that representation theory shares with the fields of homotopy theory, algebraic geometry, combinatorics, and anything else we might not be aware of!
- Collect and share references for books and papers on representation theory (and related topics), which serve as good introductory material, or otherwise well-written and accessible learning material, for graduate students. See our references page.
Schedule
Starting on September 29 2025, we will meet regularly every week.
- WHERE: Sieg Hall (SIG), Room 228.
- WHEN: Mondays, 11:30-12:30.
