I'm almost finished grading the final exam - I should have grades posted by the end of the week. Unfortunately, I won't be able to hold office hours this week. If you'd like your final exam, you can stop by office hours after the start of next quarter.

Here is an animation illustrating the slope of the tangent line to bx at x=0 for various values of b. This can be taken as the definition of e: it's the value of b such that the slope of the tangent line at 0 is 1. (reload if the animation won't go)

Problem 6 from week 3, the "wolves and caribou" problem is pretty challenging, so I wrote up a page of hints and discussion on it. Stop by during office hours if you want to talk about it.
I removed the 2.5 material (i.e. part 1 of week 3) from this week's homework assignment. I'll be moving it to next week's assignment.
Here is an animation illustrating a problem of continuity involving a piecewise-defined (i.e., multipart) function with a parameter. There will be an example in lecture on Friday that is similar.
I removed part 6 of the "Week 3" assignment from this week's homework; it'll be due next week. It relies on the idea of infinite limits which we'll discuss Friday.
