Jan. 12: Starting on Wednesday, January 14, we will meet in Thomson
Hall (THO) 325.
Jan. 17: The T.A. for this course, Siddharth Mathur will have office
hours on Fridays from 2:30 - 4:30pm in the Math Lounge (the room where my mailbox is).
Jan. 19: I will have office hours on Tues., Jan. 20 from 10-10:50 am. You will be able to collect your first homework assignment at that time.
Jan. 27: My office hours on Friday, Jan. 30 will be from 5:15 - 6:05pm instead of 4:30- 5:20pm.
Feb. 9: For the next few classes we will cover ring homomorphisms and
the isomorphism theorems. As the book does not cover this
material, I have written up some notes.
