Both Peg and Philip have many fans among teachers who have come to NWMI or Park  City Math Institute

Peg Cagle
Peg teaches high school math to gifted middle school students in Los Angeles.  Her earlier career as an architect is evident in her passion for geometrical models and her gift for rendering them artistically.

Peg has taught origami to students and teachers at NWMI and at the Park City Mathematics Institute as well as many math conferences, including national NCTM meetings.  She is great with beginners and experts alike.

Peg has also taught non-Euclidean geometry with paper models in a previous course.

Peg was recently honored by the Presidential Award for math teaching in the state of California.
Philip Mallinson
Philip teaches math with an investigative flair to students at Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire.  He is active in organizing and teaching in the yearly Exeter Summer Math Conference.

He is a master of building geometrical models, as we have seen when he has taught at NWMI and Park City Math Institute  NWMI owes to Philip’s imagination the beginning of the tradition of building a very big model each year.

Philip was on the road for many summers as part of a Woodrow Wilson Geometry Team.  He has been a frequent presenter at NCTM and elsewhere.  His experience with teaching origami at all levels and his sense of humor will engage novices and mavens alike.
