Brown Bag Teaching/Learning Seminar #8
Paul Zorn returns (briefly) to the fold

This Thursday we have the good fortune to have one of our own back with us: Paul Zorn, who did his doctorate here and was subsequently nabbed by St. Olaf College, where he has been on the faculty since 1981. Paul will start the conversation by talking a bit about the similarities and contrasts between a large university and a small liberal arts college [Attention, graduate students--we have you especially in mind!] But he also has another subject up his sleeve: "Perhaps another topic that might interest some folks is expository writing in mathematics, a la MAA journals---something I'm very much involved in as editor of Mathematics Magazine." And as always, another five topics may emerge from the conversation.

Since Paul will be leading the Calculus Seminar at 1:30, the Brown Bag will be at

--> NOON <-- on Thursday, April 6 in the Math Lounge.
