Lurking at the edges of our departmental consciousness over the past few years has been the knowledge that elsewhere on campus there is Another Calculus Course. This week we have a chance actually to find out something about that course. Jay Johnson, its instructor, has agreed to be our Brown Bag guest. He will launch the discussion with a presentation he has made at several workshops, entitled "Despair: Thy Name is Story Problems", and is then game to discuss both it and whatever else we would like to bring up.
