Last fall I had the good fortune to meet one of our colleagues from Mechanical Engineering at a conference in Leavenworth (where else would I meet a colleague whose office is a couple of hundred yards from Padelford?) When I discovered that he had worked in a whole bunch of branches of engineering I thought we needed him as a Brown Bag guest, and once I found out in addition that he was one of the designers of what sounds like a wonderful freshman engineering course, he had no hope of escaping.

Our next Brown Bag will therefore feature Dale Calkins as speaker/discussion launcher.
