Brown Bag Teaching/Learning Seminar #2
Elias Toubassi from the University of Arizona

Over the past few years, in a batch of different contexts, it has been becoming clear that the University of Arizona is a place where interesting things are happening on stacks of different teaching/learning fronts. They have experimented with different types of calculus, they have successfully instituted reductions in class size, they have forged new roles for faculty members whose primary interest is not research, they have developed a strong working relationship with the K-12 system and creative programs supporting that relationship...and that's just a start. This month we have the privilege of having with us Prof. Elias Toubassi from the University of Arizona, and he has consented to come to Thursday's Brown Bag to describe some of their programs and discuss any of them we want to discuss.

We will meet at NOON on THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 6 in the MATH LOUNGE. Come and join us!
