Section Policies

• Homework problems assigned on Tuesday will be collected on the following Monday, and problems assigned on Thursday will be collected on the following Friday. It will be checked mostly for completion, and I will usually choose 1-2 problems to look at more carefully.
• There will be a quiz every Wednesday. Quizzes will cover material from the previous week. The top 10 quiz scores from the first 11 quizzes will be used for grade computations.
• Section grade: 50% homework, 50% quiz

Announcements

• (May 2) There will be a review session on Monday, May 5th from 7 to 9 pm in Evans 70, during which I will discuss some solutions to the sample final and take questions. I will have extra office hours during RRR week, 9 to 11 am in Evans 850 on Mon/Wed/Fri.
• (Apr 28) Grades have been posted to bSpace.
• (Apr 2) There will be no quiz on Wed, Apr 9. There will be a review session on Thu, Apr 3, in Evans 736 from 5 - 7 pm. I will hold extra office hours from 9 - 11 am (Evans 850) on Fri, Apr 4 and Mon, Apr 7.
• (Feb 26) There will be no quiz on Wednesday, March 5.
• (Feb 21) There will be a review session on Mon, Feb 24, in Evans 87 from 8 - 9 pm. Extra office hours from 9 - 11 am (Evans 850) on Mon, Feb 24 and Wed, 26.
• (Feb 12) There will be no discussion on Mon, Feb 17, but there will be a quiz as usual on Wed, Feb 19 (on Sections 4.1 - 4.4). Homework for Tue, Feb 11 lecture will be collected on Wed, Feb 19.
• (Jan 25) Errata (Yifan Zhang): The textbook's answer to Exercise 11 of section 1.3 is that b is not a linear combination of a_1, a_2, a_3; this seems to be a typo (for example, b = 2*a_1 + 3*a_2 + 0*a_3).
