Starting and Stopping the License Manager

If you installed the license manager as a service, the license manager gets started automatically at system boot time. You can also start or stop the license manager using the Windows Services control panel.

To start or stop the license manager using the Services control panel:

  1. Click the Start menu.
  2. Select the Settings option.
  3. On the Settings menu, select the Control Panel option.
  4. Open the Services control panel. The method to open this control panel varies depending on the operating system you are running on your computer.

    Operating System
    		 Instructions
    Windows XP
    		 From the Control Panel menu, select Performance and Maintenance and then select Administrative Tools. The Services option is on this menu.
    Windows 2000
    		 From the Control Panel menu, select Administrative Tools and then select Services.
    Windows NT
    		 In the Control Panel dialog box, double-click on the Services control panel icon.
  5. In the Services control panel, scroll through the list of services and right-click on the MATLAB License Server entry. Select Start or Stop from the menu.
