Mathematics 412A
Winter 2006
Assignments
- Assignment 3: Delete exercise 13.21.
- Assignment 4:
- Delete exercise 15.10. The result of this exercise is
important, but it's proof is maybe not so exciting to
write down, so try to devote some class time to discussing
the result in your group.
- Delete exercise 16.2 (but you may use the result in
other exercises if you want).
- Delete exercises 16.10-16.13. As with 15.10, the
results are important, but the proofs are not so much: the
proofs mainly consist of combining earlier results (so
each proof might boil down to something like "apply
Theorems A, B, and C"). Devote some class time to
discussing these results, though; they are the culmination
of the material from the whole quarter.
