Mathematics 310A
Spring 2005
Announcements:
- The final exam with answers: PDF
file. The average and median were both about 51 out of 75
(which is 68%).
- I am sending course grades by email. Some of my
interpretations of those grades:
- 4.0: Very few people got this grade, so if you did,
you should be very happy. You are ready to take any
400-level math course, and you have a talent for
mathematics.
- Between 3.0 and 3.9: About a quarter of the class did
this well. You should do okay with more advanced math
courses, but expect to have to work hard.
- 2.0: Many of the 400-level math courses will be a real
struggle for you. If you take them, you will need to work
really hard to even have a chance at scraping by.
