The final exam is Wednesday, March 15,
8:30-10:20 (am). Each student is allowed to prepare a sheet
of theorems, definitions, whatever; it should be a single
sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 inch paper. You can use both sides of the
paper, obviously. I will probably ask you to turn in the
sheet with the rest of your exam.
The exam covers just about everything we did this quarter:
- Section 4.5
- Sections 5.1-5.7
- Sections 6.1-6.2
- Sections 7.1-7.5
While I won't ask questions directly about linear
independence, bases, eigenvalues, or anything else from
Chapters 3 and 4 (except for Section 4.5, as noted above), you
need to be comfortable enough with these concepts to handle
any problems from Chapter 7.
If you have questions, send me e-mail. I also expect to be in
my office much of the day on Tuesday.
The final exam, with solutions, is available here. Also
available as a PDF
file.
