Objectives:

The participants will be able to
  1. Identify a rich problem
  2. Edit a rich problem for use in their classroom
  3. Score a rich problem for student understanding and instructional planning

  • 9:15 - 10:30 Joyce Frost - Close Examination of a Rich Problem.
  • 10:45-12:00 Karen Hall - Characteristics of Rich Problems and Why We Want to Use Them in Class

12:00-1:00 Lunch on your own

  • 1:00-2:15 Art Mabbott Close Examination of a Second Rich Problem
  • 2:15 - 3:45 All Staff and Participants - Edit Rich Problems
  • 3:45 - 4:00 OSPI Mathematics Update
