Program: Transformations

Morning Program:

James King, U. W. Math Department.
Frieze Diagrams: Transformations come to life with the use of mirrors, models and technology. Basic transformations and symmetry will be investigated in the context of Frieze diagrams

Afternoon Program:

Gay Nixon, Retired Teacher
Gay will show her slides from her visit to the Alhambra and relate the slides to Escher designs.

There will be time to explore the new software, Kaleidomania.

Other details:

If you can not come for the entire day, come for the morning or afternoon.

Lunch will be on your own so bring a sack lunch to eat at the school or plan to eat at a nearby restaurant.
