Math 334, Accelerated (Honors) Advanced Calculus, Fall, 2002

  2. (10/1/02) In problem number 7, section 1.3, the consider f(x) to be defined only for x>0. Also assume the integers p and q are positive.
  3. (10/3/02) Anyone interested in the Putnam exam should sign up in Padelford C-36 before October 10.
  4. (10/3/02) There is a talk by Neal Koblitz at 3:30 in Smith 105 titled "Primes is in P".
  5. (10/15/02) The homework for section 2.3 is postponed to October 25.
  6. (10/21/02) The homework for October 25 is sections 2.3, 2.4, and 2.5.
  7. (10/21/02) There is a misprint on problem #6 in the sample sheet. The iteration should start with x1=2.
  8. (10/28/02) The homework for November 1 is sections 2.6, 2.7, and 2.8.
  9. (11/04/02) The homework for November 8 is from sections 2.9, 3.1, 3.2, and 3.3.
  10. (11/12/02) The homework for November 15 is from sections 3.4, 4.1, and 4.2.
  11. (11/13/02) Homework change: The hw for November 15 will only be on sections 3.4 and 4.1.
