Elizabeth Wicks

I am a 4th year Ph.D. student in the Mathematics Department at the University of Washington. My advisor is Professor James Zhang. My research interests include non-commutative algebra, representation theory of finite-dimensional algebras, Frobenius-Perron theory, derived categories, fusion categories, modular tensor categories, Hopf algebras, and applications to mathematical physics.

When I'm not doing math, you can probably find me outdoors! My hobbies include running, hiking, backpacking, and skiing. I also enjoy traveling and exploring new places.

You can check out my recent publications and preprints below.

  1. Elizabeth Wicks. Frobenius-Perron Theory of Modified ADE Bound Quiver Algebras. Journal of Pure and Applied Algebra, 223(6):2673-2708, 2018.
  2. Jianmin Chen, Zhibin Gao, Elizabeth Wicks, James Zhang, Xiaohong Zhang, and Hong Zhu. Frobenius-Perron Theory of Endofunctors. ArXiv e-prints, November 2017.

I am the Teaching Assistant for Math 404 with Prof. Dave Collingwood. My office hours are on Mondays from 10:30-11:30am and Wednesdays from 1:30-2:20pm during Spring quarter.

You can find my CV here.
