Rational Equivariant Homotopy

Laura Scull (UBC)

Rational homotpy theory is one of the most elegant and best understood areas of algebraic topology, due to algebraic models which completely encode rational homotopy type.  The equivariant theory is still being developed; models exist for some groups, but many basic questions remain.  I will discuss the state of current knowledge and illustrate some of the ideas and techniques common in studying equivariant phenomena.
