individually. Other writing (notes, etc.) can also be counted towards the project grade.
- Extra Credit
- Disclaimer:
This formal scheme for granting extra credit is an experiment. If it seems to
be serving the purposed of learning, it will be continued to the end of the quarter,
otherwise, it may be terminated with a week's notice.
- Extra credit may be added to the test grade by posting a (correct) answer to a
study question on the email list or onto a Web page, or contributing substantially
to a discussion of these problems.
(One chunk of extra credit, up to 10 points,
is available once per week per student, it is not unlimited.
Homework questions
can be considered study questions after the homework is turned in. However, answers
that do not add any significant value to back-of-the-book answers will not be awarded
any extra credit.)
- Extra credit may be added to the homework grade by contributing signficantly
to a discussion of a homework problem on the email list, or by doing extra work that
is available to the class, such as creating a polished Sketchpad sketch illustrating
some important point that is not covered by the assigned work.
