Assignment 2A: (Due Friday, 1/14)
- Know
and be able to write the definition of the inversion of a point A in a
circle c with center O and radius r.
(Definition is in GTC.)
- Be
able to recognize which trace experiments in the lab lead to figures like
the first one in Exp 9.2 of GTC.
- Review. Study and be able to explain why B is
the inversion of A in each figure below.
In each case, the circle with center O has radius r. In the second figure, triangles AOC and
CBO are isosceles. In the third
figure, BO is perpendicular to CD.
