Math 444 Lab, Friday, 10/23/98

 

Reading:

No reading assignment was listed on Assignment Sheet 6. For this week, you should read most of the chapter in B&B on Loci. This is Chapter 9, pp. 242-269. You will find that this complements what we have done in GTC for loci in the chapters on perpendicular bisectors and circumcircles, angle bisectors and incircles and excircles, and the current chapter on circle construction and conics.

 

Lab Today

  1. Open the 3 Sketchpad files on the server for Lab, 10/23 and answer the questions.
  2. After this, work quickly through Section 6.4

    3. You will see that you have already done most of the work here.

  3. Do Exploration 8.1. [Note: No one got to this on Friday, so the sketch will be demoed in lab Wed.]
