The course email list is a Mailman list operated by CAC. The name of the list will be math444a_au05
The goal of the email list is partly as a way for the instructors to contact all students, but it is also a way for students to send questions and comments, or even set up study groups.
Everyone is enrolled in the class is subscribed to the list at their UW "u.washington.edu" address. If you normally read mail using another email address, you can use mail forwarding from your UW address to get the email sent to your preferred address. Regrettably, you cannot add a different or another address directly to the list, because of the way the subscription process is automated and updated daily.
To send a message to the list, send email to
math444a_au05@u.washington.edu
This will send the email to everyone on the list. Be careful, especially when using the Reply option that your email is only sent to the whole list when you want to reach everyone, and not when you with to send a private message.
