Homework Schedule for Math 125C&D - Autumn
2007
The information on this page is subject to change. Changes may be announced in
lecture or quiz section. I shall
try to post the changes on the website but you should also make sure to check
the announcement on the main webpage regularly.
HOMEWORK COLLECTION
The homework will
be collected on Wednesday before
class: please turn your homework in
the envelope with your TA section number before the start of the lecture. As a general rule, the homework due
Wednesday will be the homework on the material covered on Wednesday and Friday
of the previous
week and Monday of the same
week. The precise list of homework
problems will be posted below on this webpage, often in the form of a link to the
common math 125 webpage with
additional comments. If ever
in doubt which problems are due contact your professor or TA. If you submit a wrong homework
assignment you will not get points for it.
LATE HOMEWORK
No late homework will be accepted.
GRADING
Two problems will be randomly selected and graded from
each homework assignment. I
would love to be able to grade the entire homework for every student since I
know that you put a lot of time and effort in it. Unfortunately, we do not
have the recourses available to us to grade all the problems. Each homework assignment is worth 10
points total. The two selected
problems will be graded out of 4 points each. You must show ALL your work to get
full credit. 2 more points
will be given for completeness of your homework.
HOMEWORK IMPORTANCE
It is vital to do the homework to
succeed in this course. This is the
only way to properly learn the material and as a consequence to do well on the
tests. Besides grading the homework
itself, a complementary test in the form of a short quiz closely related to the
homework assignment will be given each Tuesday.
