For Wednesday/Friday (12/5, 12/7): read 16.9, and finish the homework 8 exercises.
• Focus on: the divergence theorem (don't worry about the proof), example 1 (flux over the sphere), example 3 (electric field).
• Can you apply the divergence theorem to the surface from problem 4 in the HW 8 exercises (a cylinder, without the top and bottom caps)? Why or why not?
