Martin Bishop

About me

I'm a fifth-year graduate student at the University of Washington, advised by Jarod Alper. I study the moduli space of pointed curves, so far primarily through the lens of intersection theory. Current activities

• I'm co-organizing Trans Math Day 2022, which will be held, virtually, on December 3rd 2022. If you're interested, click here to find out more.
• I recently computed the integral Chow rings of \(\mathcal{M}_{1,n}\) for \(n=3,\dots,10\). A preprint will be available here very soon.
• I anticipate completing a computation of the integral Chow ring of \(\overline{\mathcal{M}}_{1,3}\) soon.
• I've recently started thinking about non-tautological classes in the rational Chow ring, and their analogues in the integral Chow ring.
