Computer languages and software for modeling and simulation:
- Python Jupyter Notebooks: This will
be our main programming language, but there are lots of options.
- SAGE: Open Source Mathematical
Software A collection of mathematical tools to do symbolic
computation, graph manipulation, exact linear algebra, etc.
Plus, its being developed right here at UW!

- MATLAB The
optimization and financial math toolboxes are particularly useful for
modeling. Simulink can be used for Monte Carlo simulations.
