About Us |
The AWM student chapter at UW is made up of students and faculty who are interested in the support and encouragement of women and underrepresented minorities in mathematics. We host various social and professional events throughout the year and we try to base them on themes that are relevant to women and minorities studying mathematics. Students at the undergraduate or graduate level, post-docs and faculty of any gender are welcome to join. Keep an eye on our website for upcoming meetings or events! Contact us if you would like more information about the chapter or our events. Curious what we mean by underrepresented minorities in math? Check out this study by the NSF. We of course welcome all trans and non-binary folks to join us as well. |
