Graduate Student Social Coordinator

Responsibilities

In the 2023-24 school year, I am serving as the Graduate Student Social Coordinator for the UW Mathematics Department. The following are my responsibilities:

• Departmental Colloquium: Organize colloquium lunches and manage refreshments.
• Departmental Tea: Coordinate schedule and replenish snacks and tea.
• End-of-Quarter Events: Help organize and coordinate end-of-quarter events.
• Fall Picnic: Organize and coordinate the annual Fall Picnic, usually held the day before classes start.
• Musicale: Organize and coordinate the annual department Musicale.
• Prospective Student Visits: Help coordinate lunches and general planning for prospective student visits in the Spring.
• Departmental Pictures: Provide an opportunity for photos to be taken for departmental website, generally done at the Fall Picnic.
