This classic NWMI Geometry week is offered for the twelfth year. Experience mathematically meaningful geometry activities based on

The NWMI program is based on real classrooms; instructors are the experienced corps of NWMI high school teachers (with help from mathematicians at UW and elsewhere). You will enjoy a week of high-energy immersion in geometry and sharing with other teachers.

Leave with a thick notebook, models you have made, and the confidence to use these activities in your classroom.

A RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM: LODGING IS INCLUDED IF DESIRED

Since the week is designed as an immersion in a mathematical community, participating teachers may stay on campus Sunday through Thursday nights at no additional charge (for Washington state teachers).. Breakfast and lunch are also included.

TARGETED AUDIENCE

HS and MS Teachers who teach geometry classes or who teach geometry in an integrated course and who want a richer set of tools for addressing the Washington Essential Learnings in geometry and measurement.

Applications for credit or clock hours will be made on site when you arrive.

About 34 Clock hours will a available for an additional cost of $2.00 per hour. You can include up to 8 additional hours for After-Hour Math. Payment for clock hours is by check only, not credit card. Be sure to bring your checkbook for clock hours

Two UW credits of Math 497 will be available for an additional cost of $163. Payment for UW credit is with credit card or check. (For UW math credit, 6 additional hours of After-Dinner Math are required.)
