This classic NWMI Geometry week is offered for the ninth year. Experience mathematically meaningful geometry activities based on

The NWMI program is based on real classrooms; instructors are the experienced corps of NWMI high school teachers (with help from mathematicians at UW and Whatcom Community College). You will enjoy a week of high-energy immersion in geometry and sharing with other teachers.

Leave with a thick notebook, models you have made, and the confidence to use these activities in your classroom.

A RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM: LODGING IS INCLUDED

Since the week is designed as an immersion in a mathematical community, participating teachers may stay on campus Sunday through Thursday nights at no additional cost. Breakfast and lunch are also included.

TARGETED AUDIENCE

HS and MS Teachers who teach geometry classes or who wish to include geometry in any class.

CREDITS AND CLOCK HOURS

Applications for credit or clock hours will be made on site when you arrive.

Two UW credits of Math 497 will be available for an additional cost of $163. Payment for UW credit is with credit card or check.

About 40 Clock hours will a available for an additional cost of about $60. Payment for clock hours is by check only, not credit card. Be sure to bring your checkbook for clock hours
