Summer 2002 Programs

Last-Minute Registration? A few places are available in all classes (except for Middle School Manipulatives, which is full). However, housing may or may not be available. Email nwmi@math.washington.edu or telephone Jessica Baird at 206-543-1150 immediately if you wish to sign up.

NWMI offers two parallel programs during the same week in August, 2002, on the University of Washington campus.

Summer Geometry Institute for Teachers, August 11-16

Click for details and application forms for the eighth NWMI Summer Geometry Institute, an amazing week of immersion in geometry. A variety of topics are investigated using a wide spectrum of active and hands-on approaches, from paper-folding and polyhedral models to Geometer's Sketchpad.

Investigations Minicourses for Teachers, August 12-15

Click for descriptions and application forms for the six NWMI minicourses. Each minicourse offers 15 hours of hands-on, in-depth exploration of a fascinating math topic relevant to school mathematics.

Alumni Reunion Workshop, August 10-11
