"The West Coast Optimization Meeting: Spring 2010"
will be held at the University of Washington, Seattle, May 8-9, 2010. This year's
conference is dedicated to the life and work of our dear friend and colleague
Paul Tseng who went missing while kayaking on the Yangtze River in the Yunnan
province of China. Paul was a leader in the field of optimization, publishing
over 120 journal articles and making fundamental contributions in many areas of
the subject. Paul was a shining light among us, and his loss has been profoundly
felt. He is dearly missed by all in our community.
