Joonyong Choi (TA for Sections BA and BB) is having
extra office hours at PDL C401 from 1-4pm Saturday,
Dec. 9 before the final exam.
The Final Exam will be given on Saturday, Dec. 9 from 5:00-7:50pm.
It will cover Taylor Notes, Ch. 10, 12, 13, 14 and 15.
The exam rooms are
KNE 210 for Section B and KNE 220 for Section C.

Grades:
Your grade is determined by how you do relative to the class as a whole.
Grades will be based on the following:
- Quiz -- 10 %
- Homework -- 10 %
- Midterm one -- 20 %
- Midterm two -- 20 %
- Final -- 40 %
Homework: Homework will be assigned
and collected via Webassign for all Math 126 classes.
Homework will be due at 11:00pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

No late homework will be accepted.
Quiz:
Quizzes will be given on Tuesday in week 3, 7, and 10.
Quiz 1 on Oct. 10 will cover a part of Chapter 12.
Quiz 2 on Nov. 7 will cover Chapters 13 and 10.
Quiz 3 on Nov. 28 will cover Chapter 15 and Taylor Series notes.
Exams:
The first Midterm Exam will be given in week 5
(Thursday Oct. 26).
It will cover up to Chapter 13.
The second Midterm Exam will be given in week 8
(Thursday Nov. 16). It will cover up to Chapter 15.
The final exam will take place on Saturday,
December 9, 5:00-7:50pm in KNE 210 and 220. The final exam
will cover "Taylor Notes" and Chapters 10-15. You must bring your
Photo ID to all exams.
Students who are unable to take the exam at this time must
petition to take the make-up final. Petitions may be obtained
from the Math Student Services Office. Note that the deadline
to petition for the make-up is November 3.
Rules for taking exams:
- You are allowed to use a TI-30X IIS calculator (no other calculator or electronic device allowed).
- For Midterm and Final exams, you are allowed to bring
one page of hand-written notes of standard size.
- There are no make-up exams. If you have a compelling and
well-documented reason for missing the final exam, speak to Math Advising
Office (PDL C-36) about it.
Text and Material:
"Multivariable Calculus", 7th edition by Stewart.
This is a custom edition available in the University Bookstore. There are
two volumes: Vol. 1 (Calculus) covers Math 124/5; Vol. 2
(Multivariable Calculus) covers Math 126/324. We need Vol. 2.
You may purchase a hard copy of the text
at the bookstore or use the electronic version that comes with Webassign.
We recommend students to read the textbook before and after each lecture.
