Academic Continuity Plans
Class and office hours will be held at the usually scheduled times on Zoom. You
can join via a browser or the Zoom app. You will be able to see a
whiteboard that I can write on by tablet. At the end of class, I
will post the resulting notes on the course website.
Homework will be assigned on the course website. You can turn it
in by email or on Moodle.
Exams will be taken at home and you can send your solutions to me by email. They will
still be timed. I would suggest handwriting solutions (on paper or
a tablet) and then sending me a copy/scan/picture via email.
In order to promote
student interaction, there is now a
google group and a moodle page associated to this class. Students
can also host their own Zoom meetings to collaborate. Please let
me know which of these you find the most useful or if there are
other resources that would be helpful.
In order to participate in the online version of the class, you
will need:
- an internet connection and browser that can receive audio, video
- a camera, scanner, or tablet for making an electronic copy
of handwritten solutions
If either of these is a problem, let me know by email ASAP. It
would also be useful (but is not necessary) to
download the Zoom
app. This lets you host your own
meetings and draw on the "whiteboard".
