Elizabeth Wicks

I am a 4th year Ph.D. student in the Mathematics Department at the University of Washington. My advisor is Professor James Zhang. My research interests include non-commutative algebra, representation theory of finite-dimensional algebras, Frobenius-Perron theory, derived categories, fusion categories, modular tensor categories, Hopf algebras, and applications to mathematical physics.

When I'm not doing math, you can probably find me outdoors! My hobbies include running, hiking, backpacking, and skiing. I also enjoy traveling and exploring new places.

Research

You can check out my recent publications and preprints below.

  1. Elizabeth Wicks. Frobenius-Perron Theory of Modified ADE Bound Quiver Algebras. Journal of Pure and Applied Algebra. (To appear).

Teaching

I am the Teaching Assistant for Math 402B with Prof. Natalie Naehrig. My office hours are from 1-2pm on Thursdays during Autumn quarter.
