Assignment 2A: (Due Friday, 1/14)

  1. Know and be able to write the definition of the inversion of a point A in a circle c with center O and radius r.  (Definition is in GTC.)
  2. Be able to recognize which trace experiments in the lab lead to figures like the first one in Exp 9.2 of GTC.
  3. Review.  Study and be able to explain why B is the inversion of A in each figure below.  In each case, the circle with center O has radius r.  In the second figure, triangles AOC and CBO are isosceles.  In the third figure, BO is perpendicular to CD.
