In case you need to miss a midterm because of a documented illnesses,significant hardship due to reasons of faith or conscience or an extreme, unexpected circumstance, please contact the instructor as soon as feasible,BEFORE the exam. Midterm 1: on Thursday 10/17 in quiz section .
It will cover chapters 1 through 7 (no min/max problems)
Please bring a photo ID. The only calculator allowed is Texas Instruments Ti30x IIs. . You may bring one 8.5 x 11 sheet of notes; writing is allowed on both sides.
Midterm 2: on Thursday 11/14 in quiz section
It will cover chapters 7 through 13
The midterm will have three problems
1) A min/max problem (chapter 7)
2) An eponential modelling problem (chapters 10,11,12)
3) A function problem , dealing with concepts like domain, range, composition, inverse (Chapters 8,9), graphical operations (Chapter 13)
We have skipped chapter 14, so no linear to linear function problems will be on the test
